Samantha Screenplay Sample

Samantha is a feature film project set in 1977. The story is centered around a twelve-year-old girl named Samantha, who must run for her life after taking photos of a murder. Along the way, she befriends the performers at a drag bar, who shield Samantha from her pursuers.

While the feature will be shot in 4K digital, we plan to use period lenses to approximate the feel of films shot in the 1970s. Similarly, Samantha’s black and white flashbacks will be shot using vintage Nikon lenses from the period with a full frame DSLR. Shooting that way will give the sense of still photography from a single lens reflex (SLR), the camera Samantha would be using.
